About me/this journal
Disclaimer
This is a private site about becoming a Freemason, and its content reflects my personal attitudes and experiences, not that of any Grand Lodge or organisation.
About me
My name is Thomas Munkholt, I am in the mid-thirties and make my living working freelance as an editor, translator and writer of fiction. Beyond Freemasonry I have a diverse interest in pop-culture – comics, movies, roleplaying games, music etc. I am currently staying in Piedmont, in the Bay Area of San Francisco, CA. In October we will be heading for Dublin, Ireland. But I consider Copenhagen, Denmark to be my hometown.
I have, on and off, been pursuing my interest in Masonry for about 15 years, but the first seed was planted when I was about nine. I know no one active in Freemasonry (as far as I know), and I knocked on the door at my own initiative. It opened to me in November 2005, when I was initiated into the Danish Order of Freemasons. My wife also has an active interest in Freemasonry.
This site
You will notice that most of the contents is in Danish, but in English you can still trace my journey into freemasonry, follow the Grail Quest or check out some links about the Swedish Rite, which is the system practised in my lodge, Hafnia #522.
